Evelyn Helen Inch-Edney

Evelyn Helen Inch-Edney passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was born in Edmonton, Alberta, on April 28, 1934, to Andrew and Helen Much, who had immigrated to Canada from Poland. Shortly after her birth, the family settled in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where Evelyn would spend the remainder of her life, building lasting memories and sharing many special moments with those she loved.

Evelyn began her working years at the Roxy Theatre, where she met Ronald Opheim. Together, they had three sons: Bob, Brian and Kirk. She later began working at St. Paul’s Hospital, where she dedicated 30 years of service before retiring.

For 37 wonderful years, Evelyn shared her life with her beloved partner, Bruce Edney. Their years together were filled with love, companionship, and a bond that meant so much to them both. Bruce loved Evelyn deeply and devoted his life to caring for her, standing by her side and sharing life’s many moments together. His unwavering love and dedication were a beautiful reflection of the special place Evelyn held in his heart. The love they shared will forever be a treasured part of their story.

Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved son, Kirk Opheim, and her parents, Andrew and Helen Much.

She will be lovingly remembered by her life partner, Bruce Edney; her sister, Karen Much; her two sons, Bob (Wendy) Opheim and Brian (Joan) Opheim; her four grandchildren (their spouses) and seven great-grandchildren, along with all those whose lives she touched throughout her 92 years.

Evelyn leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and meaningful connections. Though she will be deeply missed, the warmth of her memory and the love she shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

May she rest peacefully, forever loved and never forgotten.

The family invites you to keep Evelyn in your thoughts and prayers as they gather privately to celebrate her life and remember the special moments they shared.

Arrangements entrusted to Westwood Funeral Chapel, 306-653-3434.
