With sadness the family announces the passing of Maria Wilhelmina Looman (Kaal) at Sherbrooke Community Centre. Maria was the last surviving sibling of the Kaal family of 8. She was raised on a farm in Loil, The Netherlands. Maria was a survivor of the occupied Netherlands of WWII. She was happy to move to Saskatoon, Canada in 1955 where she married Henk on October 1, 1955 at St. Mary's Church. She worked at Hudson's Bay in the restaurant for many years. Maria volunteered many hours at the Church, Folkfest and the CWL. Henk & Maria raised four children. They spent a lot of time camping with their kids and than with grandchildren. Mom was a master baker, she made many cinnamon buns, apple pies, butter tarts and fresh bread. In retirement Mom & Dad made many trips to Arizona in their motorhome.
