It is with great love and sadness that the family of Philip Powderhorn announces his passing on October 3rd, 2025, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, at the age of 64. He was predeceased by his sons, Vincent Hoeber and Jeremy Lemay, his parents, Joseph and Emma Powderhorn, and his siblings, Roger, Nellie, and Demel. Philip was born on November 18, 1960, in Churchill, Manitoba. He later moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where he resided until his passing. Those who knew him will remember him for his kindness, strength, generosity, laughter, and a smile that would light up a room.

Philip was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. His greatest accomplishment was being a father, not only to his children but to the countless others who found comfort in his caring and protective nature. Those who knew him would tell you, above all else, that his greatest pride and source of joy was his grandchildren. He cherished his family and was tremendously proud of every achievement they made. He enjoyed taking his family on walks around the city and playing board games. Always a generous man with a heart of gold, Philip would open his door for anyone in need and cared immensely for those around him. He was a friendly and outgoing man who often left an everlasting mark on those he encountered. Philip had a gentle and soft side to him, and the deep love he expressed to those close to him was felt in many ways. He will be missed beyond measure by his family and friends.

The Funeral Service for Philip will be held Tuesday October 14, 2025 2:00 pm at the Westwood Funeral Chapel, 1402 20th Street West, Saskatoon. With interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
