Robert James Smith (BJ), born on July 19th, 1975, of Saskatoon, SK passed away at Royal University Hospital on Monday, November 3rd, 2025 at the age of 50.
BJ attended St. Michaels, School in Saskatoon and later went on to high school at City Park Collegiate.
He was pre-deceased by his grandparents Cecile and Denis Caplette, Rose and Felix Boyer, and his grandfather Gordon Smith. His uncle's Ricky and Randy Smith, Wayne, Michael Donald Caplette, and his cousin Tina.
He is survived by his parents Corine and Russell Boyer, Robert Smith. His children Junelle Knihniski, Michael and Marcus Smith. His grandmother Nora Cummings. His sister Bernadette (Calvin) Fiddler (Sharrona, Shryden, Shoal, Shaday, and Shaiya). His brothers Darcy Smith (Brayden, Sky, and Trinity) and Juston (Nicole) Smith (Zack and Taylor). His sisters Bobby-Jo Ouellette (Styles, Edan, Elias, and Cleora), Anne-Marie (Megal and Quest) and Nora Smith (Jeremiah and Aalayah).
BJ's biggest passion was cooking; he was a chef at many restaurants and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. One of BJ's favorite memories was when he was a chef at the Radison Hotel in Saskatoon and he cooked a meal for Gene Simmons and his family.
BJ raised three children together with his former spouse Jennifer Knihniski, and most recently resided with his current partner Orchid Brown.
He was a devoted father to his three children and proud of all of them.

There will be a funeral service at Westwood Funeral Chapel on Friday, November 7th at 11:00am, burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
There will be a luncheon to follow at CUMFI located at 315 Ave. M South.
