Toby Schumacher

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Toby Rolfe Schumacher, born on July 16, 1973, in Edmonton, Alberta. He passed away peacefully at his home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on August 15, 2025, at the age of 52.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Adriana; his mother, Dianne; his sister, Anne; and numerous extended family members.

Toby moved to Saskatoon with his family as a young child, where he spent most of his life and formed many lasting friendships. He shared a lifelong bond with his best friend, Craig - more than just a friend, Craig was like a brother to Toby. The two grew up side by side, sharing countless memories, challenges, and adventures throughout the years.

A devoted hockey fan, Toby grew up playing the game he loved and continued to play well into adulthood. He was a committed supporter of the Boston Bruins and rarely missed a game. He also had a passion for snowboarding and a love of the outdoors, always chasing the next adventure. His thrill-seeking spirit and zest for life were contagious to those around him. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing poker, indulging in chocolate, and eating Nina's homemade pasta.

Above all, Toby loved his daughter, Adriana, more than anything in the world. Though Toby and Nina were no longer married, they remained united in raising their daughter. For the past 17 years, Nina devoted herself to ensuring Toby had the best possible quality of life - not only for his well-being, but to help him maintain a close and loving relationship with Adriana. The bond among the three of them remained the most important part of Toby's life.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most. Rest easy, Toby, you will be deeply missed.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday August 26,2025, 10:00 am at Saskatoon Funeral Home( 338 4th Avenue North) with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
